Scientist Fired by Gore Calls Warming Fears ‘Mistaken’
Princeton University physicist Dr. Will Happer, who says he was fired by Vice President Al Gore for failing to adhere to Gore’s views on global warming, has now declared that man-made warming fears are “mistaken.”

Happer, who served as the director of Energy Research at the Department of Energy from 1990 to 1993, said, “I had the privilege of being fired by Al Gore, since I refused to go along with his alarmism. I did not need the job that badly.”

He said in 1993, “I was told that science was not going to intrude on policy."

Imagine that!

Now Happer has asked to join the more than 650 international scientists who have spoken out against man-made global warming fears and are cited in the 2008 U.S. Senate Minority Report from Environmental and Public Works Committee ranking member James Inhofe, R-Okla.

“I am convinced that the current alarm over carbon dioxide is mistaken,” Happer told the committee on Dec. 22.

President-elect Barack Obama’s choice as his top science adviser, Harvard University professor John Holdren, is a staunch believer in the dangers of man-made global warming and advised Gore on his documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Dr. Happer has published over 200 scientific papers, and is a fellow of the American Physical Society, The American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the National Academy of Sciences.

Sen. Inhofe said that the statements of prominent scientists like Happer who are willing to publicly dissent from climate fears strike a blow to the United Nations, Gore, and the media’s claims about global warming.

“The endless claims of a 'consensus' about man-made global warming grow less and less credible every day," Inhofe said.

Happer declared, “I have spent a long research career studying physics that is closely related to the greenhouse effect — for example, absorption and emission of visible and infrared radiation, and fluid flow. Fears about man-made global warming are unwarranted and are not based on good science. The earth's climate is changing now, as it always has. There is no evidence that the changes differ in any qualitative way from those of the past . . .
“Computer models used to generate frightening scenarios from increasing levels of carbon dioxide have scant credibility.”

When a Democrat tells you "the argument is over, we have a consensus", stand by for the argument. They are almost always trying to tell you the outcome before the discussion, it's just easier for them. Hard facts are just too unemotional, it's feelings that really matter.

That would be if you don't care that pursuing these goals will bankrupt the nation and it's businesses.

Besides, interrupting Al's cash flow would be bad ......for Al!

It would appear that, if the Glowbal Warming Crowd is telling the unvarnished truth, and they would never lie, we are causing the warming of Mars, Earth, and Neptune. There is evidence that the ice caps and reflected light from these planets, are changing, and that can only mean our carbon foot print has gone where we cannot. Because as everyone knows, global warming is a manmade problem.

Ok! Let me wave the "I'm joking flag". There are a couple of studies showing where we are in the solar cycle, that just happens to coincide with the latest warm up. The evidence continues to pile up and push the emotion aside.

This was -0.34 inches less than the 1901-2000 average, the 30th driest such month on record. The precipitation trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.01 inches per decade.

Sex and Violence

Well, don't have sex, or we will kill a few billion to make room for "the intelligent group". Oh! we get to pick who goes and who stays!

HAVING large families should be frowned upon as an environmental misdemeanour in the same way as frequent long-haul flights, driving a big car and failing to reuse plastic bags, says a report to be published today by a green think tank.
The paper by the Optimum Population Trust will say that if couples had two children instead of three they could cut their family's carbon dioxide output by the equivalent of 620 return flights a year between London and New York.


Apparently, saving the whales is more important than saving 5.5 billion people. Paul Watson, founder and president of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and famous for militant intervention to stop whalers, now warns mankind is “acting like a virus” and is harming Mother Earth.
Watson’s May 4 editorial asked the question “The Beginning of the End for Life as We Know it on Planet Earth?” Then he left no doubt about the answer. “We are killing our host the planet Earth,” he claimed and called for a population drop to less than 1 billion.

Besides we have to have a population to support them, don't think they're going to farm do you?

Al is telling us he does not think rationally, nor does he contemplate, instead he "emotes". I would agree that most of his recent pontification resides in the realm of imagination.

Carbon foot print?

To all the Hollywierd dogooders, how big is your foot print?

And what are you going to do about it?

That would be other than tell me how much I need to sacrifice.

I have a forty year old house, do I get to amortize my carbon debt over the time that I live here? If I'm not buying a new place, that's a savings, right?

All my cars and trucks are old, not very efficient, but better than making new ones and still have to buy fuel, right?

The place I work produces energy with no carbon involved, that should have a positive effect on my carbon footprint, right?

Now climb your butt out of your limo, jet, tour buss, multi million dollar mansion, and explain to me how you are changing your life to save the planet.

Are you going to ration your sanitary necessities?

Are you going to car pool to your next gig?

Are you going to plow up the lawn to plant some organic vegetables?

Are you going to start beating your clothes on a rock to clean them?

Didn't think so. Dead beats. Loud mouthed, ignorant, know it alls, with a big soap box and no sack.

It's put up, or shut up time.

Why Global Warming Doesn't Matter

A fact that doesn't get enough attention is that 2% of our population feeds the other 98% and a lot of the world besides. A lot of this is irrigated and harvested in the high plains.

The source of a great deal of this water is the Ogalalla Aquifer. This is fossil water, unreplenished since the last ice age. I some areas it is less than one sixth it's original volume.

We now have entrepreneurs drilling and pumping to the cities strictly for profit. It is also under "management", a sure sign of trouble, as that always works so well.

If this lake of several hundred thousand square miles of underground water declines to the point of not being readily available to raise crops, then busy breeders beware! The population control freaks will get their wish. Cheap, plentiful food is necessary for a high density population.

Another contributor could be the coming dust bowl in the Midwest. The shelter belts planted in the Great Depression have been cut down to be put under the plow. A few hot summers and less water, the wind always blows anyway, there you are. We almost changed the Midwest into a desert the first time, this time we will likely get the job done.

If prices for everything from grits to steak don't go up, then I will really be surprised.
If you must devote most of your resources to feeding yourself, luxury spending like travel, recreation, hobbies that have significant cost will disappear in the need for survival. Dissolving of the economy will remove the ability to feed their family's from a few million folks, and that never caused a problem, did it?

The point is, we are living in a house of cards, the first touch will bring them all down, and the greedy and thoughtless are shaking as hard as they can.

I feel in my gut that great changes are coming to the world, they will not bring an easier life.

When you point out to an Eco-Boob how their predictions are mostly wrong. They immediately point out that GlowBull warming is marked by unpredictability. That translates to "Don't be so snippy! I'm making this up as fast as I can!"

This is not the first time facts have been interpreted to fit a chosen conclusion, but it likely is the best publicised.
