A new career

This Monday I retired, somewhat against my will. I haven't liked my job for years, probably not due to the reasons most expect. I have found, much to my surprise, that I will not have to move into the poor house.

I am however going to start a new career. I'm not sure what that will be just yet. Any help or suggestions will be gratefully entertained.

Bloggers are very prevalent, and I think intelligent,( except the kos kids), someone, some where, has an answer.

Well dang, DW! Who's going to tend the neutrons now?

You could always do more fire/EMS stuff. Good Haz Mat instructors are in short supply...

Or you can do what I am looking into, being a substitute teacher, no teaching certificate required in my neck of the woods, you don't even need a degree, just a willingness to teach.

I don't want to say I'm sorry for you being somewhat retired, so I'll say congratulations on the opportunity to find something better around the next curve in the road.

Dang! AD stole my first ideer. I was gonna suggest teaching or writing for money instead of just fun. There are tons of online writing sites.
Consulting? I hear that's a lucrative field.

If you would be interested in perhaps doing some instructing for the FFDO (armed pilots) program, drop me your email in a comment. We have a big training center in the southwest. It may be part time, but it pays really well and I have some er. . . "contacts" there.
